DIY Dorm Kitchen

Hey y’all! I realize that even though it is only July, many of us will be heading back to school pretty soon. My move-in is August 1st so I have started to get a little stressed trying to get everything gathered together! While I do not have as much stress as I did entering my freshman year, I figured many of you may have those first year jitters. I remember my dorm did not have a kitchen, so I am sharing what I did to have a mini kitchen in my dorm!

Cart, Sugar Holder, Stamp Mug, New York Mug, Hand Towel, Mason Cup, Coffee, Torani Syrup, Paper Straws, Silverware, Utensil Holder, Pink Keurig (multiple colors)

The first thing you will need for base is a cart. You can get yours from Target or Walmart, but my favorite is from Ikea. I like the ones that have a solid bottom because it was easier to hold everything. Next, I made sure to get a Keurig and lots of coffee k-cups. Caffeine is a necessity once classes start, so I always have a cute little sugar jar, vanilla syrup, and some of my favorite mugs.

Getting away from those warmer drinks, I always make sure to have a mason jar and paper straws. Personally, I have found that paper straws are the best to use because I would often forget to wash my metal ones during the week and the paper ones are biodegradable. I also made sure to have a few other necessities that you would find in a normal kitchen, like utensils, a utensil holder, and a tea towel in case anything ever spills.

Hopefully this helps relieve a little bit of the stress that I once had while y’all are shopping for your dorms these next few weeks. I will definitely try and post a lot more outfit ideas for school in the coming weeks, and many some more college ideas as well! I hope y’all are staying safe and enjoying your summer as you do so!

Xoxo, Ris
