Hey y’all! I hope everyone had a great finals week and that y’all are back home with your families! The excitement to see my parents and siblings is unreal, I just have to wait a few more hours. Yesterday was my last full day on campus so my friend and I decided to do something to get us in the Christmas mood with all the snow that we have had. If you couldn’t guess by the title, we went to a tree farm!
Picking out our Christmas tree was my favorite holiday tradition when I was younger, but we stopped when I reached middle school. Sadly, the reason we stopped was because of me 😦 Due to my asthma, having a live pine tree caused me to be sick for the entirety of every holiday and my parents did not think it was fair for me. But, we still go visit a tree farm every year just for the festivities.
As y’all know, I have always been a sucker when it comes to shopping local. So, when I found out Erie had a local tree farm I had to visit. Of course I dressed up for the occasion too. The purple sweater I have on is one of my favorites that I have had forever, along with my grey vest. I just recently got these boots on sale during Black Friday and they are fabulous!
After my hands started to go red because of the cold, we decided to go inside to see what else they had. I was blown away at how wide a selection they had! From ornaments to food to fresh produce, they had it all. My family and I have always loved buying local honey from my mom’s hometown, so I felt like a little kid when I saw an ENTIRE WALL of honey. I ended up getting a few presents for my family from here and it made it so much sweeter that everything was from somewhere local.
Well, that is it for today! I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend and even better holiday. Let me know how y’all celebrate & decorate for the holidays! If you share any of this on social media, be sure to tag me @theprissyrissy. See y’all soon!
Xoxo, Ris ❤
